Journey Through The Land of Poetry
I recently had the pleasure of appearing on Emirates Channel's "Morning of the Emirates" (صباح الإمارات) morning show program to discuss reading and poetry's significance to individuals and society. During this conversation, I explored the nuances of Arabic and English poetry, explaining how my work bridges these two literary traditions.
Through my published works — Taintlessness and Fields of Poetry — I aim to create gateways for Arabic speakers to explore English poetry and vice versa. This cultural exchange is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
I also had the opportunity to participate in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, where I met readers and discussed the impact of poetry. The interactions I had there were truly heartening.
Regarding Taintlessness, the cover design holds special meaning. It features a large bird composed of smaller birds of various types and shapes, all white against a black background. This imagery represents purity, perfection, and diversity in my poetic exploration, with the bird symbolizing freedom of thought and expression.
